Hello,

and welcome to the Perfect Sentiments Gift Baskets Shop Policy Page.

Please read carefully all the information below before you place an order.

 

Hours of Operation

(We will accept orders, but will not fill orders on weekends)

  (We will deliver baskets on weekends if there have been prior arrangements made during weekday orders)

Photo Email

​

 

 

 

 

Perfect Sentiments takes a photo of every basket shipped and/or delivered.

We will send the photo to the person who purchased the basket so that they can see what was delivered.

This is only done if the person who purchased the basket does not personally pick up the basket.

Please be advised that this is purely a courtesy practice and we will not allow the purchaser to change

the basket after the photo is sent. We are not sending the photo for the purchaser’s approval, merely to allow the purchaser to see their purchase.

 

Refunds

Perfect Sentiments is a custom gift basket business. Since our gift baskets are all custom made

and the items inside have been specifically sourced for that order, we do not give refunds.

​

Perfect Sentiments goes to great efforts to provide the highest quality product in our baskets.

We source nuts, fruits, cheeses, and other perishable products as close to the pick up

or delivery date as possible. Best by dates and other expiration notifications are closely adhered to.

​

We do not accept returns or give refunds for perishable products, such as fruits or cheeses.

However, we do wish our customers to express their concerns if they have issue with the quality

of these products.

If one of our baskets has arrived and is not up to your standards, or is not the one ordered,

please email us a photo with order information.

​

We will refund the price of basket to purchaser or send a replacement, if and only if,

we determine an issue with it, or an incorrect order has been shipped.

​

The basket and all of its contents must be returned with its original wrapping unopened.

The customer assumes the cost of the return delivery, unless we are found at fault for the issue.

Then the return delivery will be reimbursed. Perfect Sentiments strives to take every precaution to package our products/baskets so that they can be shipped to our clientele in a satisfactory manner.

We do not take responsibility for damage or harm occurring to a basket or products

once they have left our facility.

 

Alcohol

​

 

Perfect Sentiments Gift Baskets is not as of yet licensed to sell alcohol.

We cannot purchase alcohol for our customers, but if you wish to bring in any of these items

we will gladly place them in your basket for you.

​

​Please be aware that Perfect Sentiments is not legally allowed to profit off the sale of alcohol in their baskets as dictated by Manitoba Liquor Laws. We are able to purchase it on your behalf and place it in our baskets, but in doing so we must purchase it at retail cost at a legally licensed establishment and are not allowed to earn any income from its inclusion in your basket. We do not receive any wholesale discount on the purchase of any alcohol for our baskets. 

​

Due to these rules and laws we have been forced to require that the cost of the alcohol

not exceed 1/3 of the retail value of the basket and we must break the total cost of the alcohol

from the budgeted retail paid price of the basket order.

 

If you wish to have a total $20 bottle of wine (taxes included) added to the basket order

we must subtract the total cost of the purchase price of the alcohol

from the budgeted price of the basket, a budget of a $110 basket order with a $20 total cost of alcohol

would be reduced to an $90 dollar retail valued gift basket.

 

In otherwords, we budget out the total cost exactly of the alcohol from what you wish to pay

in total for your basket order and only charge the remainder for the actual budget of the gift basket

in your order. Thus, we do not earn income from the alcohol, only the basket. 

​

Total price of alcohol + remainder of budget as retail price of basket (the actual amount we earn income from)

+ delivery fees + taxes applied only to the retail price of basket and delivery

= Total price of basket.

 

Personal Add-Ons

​

 

We will gladly include any personal items you wish to have included your basket order.

If you have a card, a note, a special item, or products you have sourced,

you are welcome to bring them in and we will place them in your basket

while putting it together for you.

 

Pick Up

​

 

 

Basket orders can be picked up at our studio location,

823 Alverstone Street,

from

10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Monday through Friday.

You can pick up on Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

and

Sunday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

How Long Does An Order Take To Fill?

​

 

 

The timing involved with filling a basket order will vary due to the nature of

the contents of the baskets that are ordered.

A standard basket may be fabricated the same day of your order or if there are specialty items

it may take a bit more time to complete.

 

The time it takes to fabricate a basket varies on the availability

of its contents and how long it may take to source them if it contains specialty or custom items.

​

We will endeavor to have our baskets ready for you as quickly as possible,

when you place your order we will give you an approximate time when you can expect

it to be delivered or picked up.

You may request a specific time for delivery and we will try our best to make it possible.

If it is not, we will inform you.

​

 Local Delivery

​

 

 

Monday to Friday:

Week Day Afternoons - 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm (This is reserved for office/corporate deliveries)

Week Day Evenings - 5:00pm - 8:00pm (This is when we deliver to homes)

 

Weekends must be arranged with staff during the week,

please call if you need weekend or Holiday deliveries,

or

special arrangements during the week.

Extended Delivery outside of City Limits must be arranged by phone.

It is calculated by mileage and time spent to deliver in both directions.

Any delivery within Winnipeg City limits is

a flat rate of $16.00.

 

Perfect Sentiments will hand deliver these orders to their recipients.

 If needed we can schedule special delivery times,

but these must be requested and arranged with enough time

for us to make sure they are feasible.

​

We will not deliver to students at any school under the age of 18.

Any deliveries made to teachers will be done at 12:00 pm.

​

Deliveries made to teachers or school administrators must be cleared with the school

being delivered to, please inquire with the school as to whether they accept deliveries

to their staff members during school hours.

​

We will always call the recipient of the basket to guarantee they are available at the address given.

We always request permission to deliver,

especially with hospitals and businesses.

​

If you are intending the basket to be a surprise we ask that you either pick up the basket yourself.

Or, have a the basket delivered to a friend or family member of the recipient who is 

aware of the arrangements and basket delivery.

​

We do not surprise people with deliveries unannounced. If the recipient is an elderly person

please call them or a family member caring for them to let them know of the upcoming delivery.

Many times elderly people do not answer their phones if there are strange numbers, and 

are afraid to open their doors to strangers.

We do not wish to frighten or stress anyone out. 

​

Perfect Sentiments Gift Baskets prefers to keep all interactions pleasant and joyful.

 

 We will never leave a basket on a door step or at a neighbours.

It must be accepted by someone at the address it is delivered to.

We will also not deliver to a hospital room in which the recipient is not present in.

We typically strive to deliver to patients in hospital during evening hours when they will 

be in their rooms and not be involved in treatments or tests.

​

Your order will be delivered the next possible business day if it is placed on a high volume Holiday date.

Hand delivery is possible on Saturdays and Sundays with special arrangements.

If not, it will occur on the following Monday.

 

Recipient Unavailable

​

 

 

Perfect Sentiments operates on a store policy that we always call the recipient the day

of delivery to make arrangements for the most convenient time for the recipient it to recieve the basket.

If the recipient asks for the delivery to be rescheduled we will contact the person who ordered 

the basket and keep them up to date about the new delivery time/date.

Perfect Sentiments will always give priority to the recipient in relation to their 

preferred deliver time and date.

​

If the recipient is not available at the prearranged delivery time when our driver arrives at the address

we will leave notice that the delivery was attempted.

​

Perfect Sentiments will advise the person sending the basket of this event.

It will be at the discretion of the sender to resend their order and at that time a new delivery fee

will be charged.

 

If we deliver to a business and the basket is turned away due to

unavailability of recipient the same terms apply as with residential deliveries.

​

If we are not able to contact the recipient, it is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the recipient

is available for any further delivery attempts.

 

Please do not request we leave the gift basket anywhere on a property or on the front door step.

We will also not leave a basket at a neighbours, this leaves us open to 

various issues that are beyond our control once the basket is no longer in our possession. 

​

We refuse to leave any goods unattended and will not refund the delivery fee it there is a sign left

requesting us to do so.

 

The basket will be returned to our store until the recipient or the person ordering the basket wishes

to make other arrangements.

 

We will not refund the purchase price or the delivery fee if there is not a person to accept the delivery.

 

Incorrect Address

​

 

We are not responsible for incorrect addresses.

In the case where an incorrect delivery address is provided,

we will charge an additional delivery fee for re-delivery. And, will not provide a 

replacement basket. Perfect Sentiments takes great pains to insure accurate 

information.

​

The customer assumes responsibility for entire purchase.

 

Change Or Cancel of Order

​

 

 

Changing an order is possible within 1 hour of placing an order.

Once the basket has been fabricated the order cannot be changed or cancelled.

The customer assumes responsibility for the complete cost of the order if

they cancel once the basket has been fabricated.

 

Refusal of Delivery

​

 

 

If the recipient refuses delivery of product the customer the purchaser will

not be refunded for the cost of basket and delivery.

 

Substitutions

​

 

Perfect Sentiments reserves the right to substitute a seasonal or unavailable product

with an equal or greater value product.

​

We will strive to preserve the theme, category, and “feel” of the basket with a similar replacement.

For example; if the silk flowers in a basket seen online are not available for any reason

we will endeavor to substitute them with similar kind and color.

Some hospitals do not allow for certain items, like latex balloons.

A foil balloon may be substituted instead.

​

Some delivery environments are nut free or scent free.

These items will not be included in baskets that are ordered to be delivered to these locations.

​

Customer Referral Program

​

 

 

If you refer a friend and they purchase a basket you will get 10% off your next basket purchase.

Make sure your friend mentions your name in order to receive the discount.

The customer referral and loyalty programs cannot be combined and used for the same basket purchase.

We will only allow this discount the first time a specific friend notifies us of your referral.

You can receive a discount once per friend, but we do not combine the referrals in a cumulative manner.

You can only receive %10 off per basket, per visit/order, per friend.

 

Customer Loyalty Program

​

 

 

If you purchase 6 baskets in the space of six months you will receive 10% off the next basket purchase.

This does not apply to large corporate orders, especially during the Holiday Season.

 

Customer Registry

​

 

 

Every customer who wishes may request to be a VIP Client and be added to our Customer Registry.

The Customer Registry is a database that contains all of your purchases (from the moment of sign-up)

and logs all of your personal likes/dislikes.

​

We will send you a special Birthday Email.

 

We send you a questionnaire in which we ask for information like

your favorite color, past times, favorite flowers, etc.

so that friends and family can order custom gift baskets for you.

​

We create gift baskets geared towards your likes, interests, etc.

The registry takes the worries and quandaries out of the minds of those wishing to find you

that perfect present.

 

You can also send along recommendations and a list of our products that you would like to receive as a gift.

It is your own personal gift registry, we recommend it for brides, graduates, and business

associates.

 Terms And Conditions Site Use

As part of our service, we agree to provide you with information and other services

that we may decide to offer, subject to the terms of this agreement.

 

Upon notice published through this service we may modify this agreement at any time.

You agree and continue to agree to use our services in a manner consistent with all

applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with the terms and conditions

set out in the policies and guidelines outlined on this page.

By using this service, you agree that you will not attempt to

undermine the integrity of this website.

 

 

Limitation Of Liability And Warranty

reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.

Perfectsentimens.ca reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been

confirmed and your credit card charged.

 

If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled,

perfectsentiments.ca shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.

These terms and conditions are applicable to you upon your accessing the site and/or completing

the registration or shopping process. These terms and conditions, or any part of them, may be terminated by perfectsentiments.ca without notice at any time, for any reason.
